This painting took quite a journey to its completion. I paint how I feel and during the course of painting this, life had a few up and downs. One day it would be light and bright and then the next it would be dark and moody. Just as I was about to give up, I realized I need to just be strong, focus on the good things all around me and stop crying over things I couldn't change. I love seeing the dark parts underneath and I love the starkness of the white, it was all a part of the up and down journey this painting went on.
